Dear Friend,

Who am I?

     I’m the guy who was 200lbs with a 40" waist at 15, and 230 with a 44" waist by the time I was 17, and I defiantly didn’t feel like going to the pool with my shirt off, hell I bought every big GIANT  shirt I could to hide my size. But EVENTUALLY I QUIT PROCRASTINATING and DECIDED to do something about it.  I started with my diet, OHH THE HORROR STORIES, sufficed to say IT DIDN'T WORK. So I went with what works and started working out, I worked out fanatically 5 to 6 days a week from 2 to 4 hours a day with no real understanding of what I was doing but the dream of benching BIG. Hey I was in high school, low self esteem, no girlfriend and not much else to do. So told myself enough was enough and I wouldn’t stop till I became the BEST (to be honest I didn’t know what that meant I just wanted to be better than I was). Well 8 months later of random extreme training that only the gift of youth kept me from seriously injuring myself I went from a 44” waist to a 34” and my bench went from 185 to 405.

Dave Carter is BAD ASS!  Now that I got that out of the way, I'll explain why it's a fact...

I'm an IT consultant who travels often for work.  Since 2005 I've taken muay thai at 3 different schools to date. I met Dave when I began training muay thai at Team Lloyd Irvin Martial Arts in Arlington, VA in early 2006 and was immediately convinced he was the trainer I've been searching for all this time. 

My Muay Thai and conditioning has improved immensely after just a few short months of training with Dave.  Not only does he have a wealth of real world fight experience in and out of the ring, but he also possesses the ability to apply that knowledge to his students in a way that's easy to understand, learn and actually use.

Being a person that has been exposed to quite a few encounters outside of the ring, I was also interested in self defense techniques that might be more applicable for street situations.  Dave was able to deliver on this request in ways I would have never imagined.

     Years later I learned what the true secret to my success was, AND ways to take it and myself FAR beyond where I was, faster, and with A LOT LESS TIME IN THE GYM. Yup no BS, today I'm in much better shape than I was in college walking around at 230 at about 5% bodyfat and not much flexibility. Now years later working full time and then some, trapped behind a desk for 40, 50, 60 and even a few times 100 HOURS in one week.  Yeah you heard me I said up to 100 hours in one week, oh it's possible if you have the "right" job, or the "right" boss, in my case I had both. SIGH.   I didn't have the time or energy to hit the gym like I wanted so I had to find a better way.

 

 

I have known Dave Carter for over six years now and since that time he has become a top level Mixed Martial Arts and Muay Thai Champion. What's more important is what he can do for you!      Well I did, and I can show you how I did it. I'm going to show you how working a average of 60 hours a week during the day, and teaching multiple martial arts classes at night, I was still able to get myself in shape in TWO WEEKS and go win a US TITLE in Muay Thai Kickboxing, or how I got myself ready for a Grappling tournament.  On paper I was WAY under qualified, no chance in hell of winning, might as well have some cheetos and sit on the couch, but I still went, and can you believe it I happened to win despite the impressive fight resumes' of the guys I faced and defeated. Guess how I did that. Here's a clue, KILLER CARDIO, but not the kind you're thinking.  Not the kind you get on a treadmill or the kind you get on elliptical, or even the kind that you get running out on a course or track.  But the kind that makes the fat melt away, and makes anyone in your way just surrender and give up.  As a heavyweight competitor I'm ALWAYS outweighed by from anywhere from 20 to 100lbs.  But I know what they don't, I know they can't make me stop, and they can't keep up with me ;-)

How often you really need to workout, how to prevent injuries, how to eat to loose weight, and how to eat to pack on some size, and the right time to workout fore each person.

 

I'm going to teach you. I'm going to save you years of sweat, the injuries, and the wasted time on FAD diets that took me ruined my training.   As a 40 year old "beginner," I had been training in Muay Thai for almost six months, but there were certain concepts that were mentioned all the time (like "turning over your hips") that I felt like I wasn't "getting" or maybe I was just too uncoordinated, or inflexible, to do.  I had taken many "level 1" classes at Team Lloyd Irvin with Dave, and I knew he had an excellent eye for body mechanics, because he had helped me with other aspects of my technique with relatively simple, easy-to-implement, suggestions.  I sent Dave a e-mail explaining three "problem areas" for me.  Dave, then asked some follow-up questions, so he could be sure he understood where I wanted to improve, and then we scheduled a private lesson.  Though the lesson was scheduled for an hour, Dave spent an hour and a half making sure that I had, at least for a little while, successfully mastered each of my technique difficulties.  Dave also gave me drills that I could practice away from the gym to help me continue to improve.  Dave is an excellent teacher, because he takes the time to understand a student's problems, then skillfully explains how to correct the problems, and, most importantly, he patiently works with the student until he is sure you understand how to do things right.  I would strongly recommend Dave to anyone who wants to improve their martial arts skills.

HOW TO THROW PUNCHES & WORK OUT LIKE THIS?

 

     I am a mom and wife, I own a business, I have lots of commitments in my life.  To me, time is a premium commodity. In the past, I saw working out as a big waste of time, especially because I did not see or feel results quickly and because my trainer gave me very little information about how my efforts would specifically achieve results. On top of that, I was coming to the realization that I oftentimes put myself last, and I needed to be inspired to do activities that focus on me.
