JEET KUNE DO

Jeet Kune Do, or "Way of the Intercepting Fist", is the name for the concepts developed by the late Bruce Lee and his training partner and friend Dan Inosanto. Unlike many other martial arts, there are no set rules or techniques that constitute a distinct Jeet Kune Do (JKD) method of fighting.

JKD utilizes all ways and means to serve its end. Bruce Lee's concept was to free his followers from clinging to any style, pattern, or mold. JKD is continually evolving and adapting. At times it resembles Western Boxing, at other times it looks like Thai Boxing, Kickboxing, Fencing, Chinese Wing Chun Gung Fu, Filipino Escrima, or Greco-Roman Wrestling.

Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto devoted their lives to the development of an all-encompassing martial arts philosophy. The object lesson of JKD is to be unbound, to be free: in combat to use "no style as style, to use no way as the way, to have no limitation as the only limitation."
